What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Sarah L. Hicks, Currently, I’m hanging out at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas with my husband.
What are your hobbies and interests?
If there’s water nearby, you’ll find me on a paddleboard. When I’m on land, you can usually find me cruising on my Royal Enfield Classic 350. Oh, and I also sing.
What are two special or unique things about you that are probably not known by your co-workers and acquaintances?
On the down low, I secretly play the mandolin and follow a vegan lifestyle.
Are there causes or issues that you truly care about?
I am passionately committed to protecting children online and putting an end to human trafficking.
What is your story as a person?
Dubbed “the problem child” by my mother, I’ve always had a rebellious streak and a knack for challenging stereotypes. At the age of two, I took apart a sewing machine, much to my mother’s dismay. Throughout my life, I have trained horses, remodeled houses, operated farm equipment, driven trucks, hacked computers, written computer programs, taught middle school, explored the Alps, gone hot air ballooning, and spent time with the ravens at the Tower of London. Next up is sky-diving!
What is the main story you want to share with the world through your book?
The lives of America’s youth are being crippled by anxiety. I deeply desire for them to realize that Christ holds the cure for anxiety.

What does family mean to you?
Both my husband and daughter have the privilege and challenge of witnessing my unfiltered self, and they still unwaveringly give their support. As a Christian, I have an enormous family!
