L?kril Technologies Selected to Present at the 2024 NREL Industry Growth Forum
L?kril Technologies
catalyzing technology development for sustainable chemical production
One of 40 cleantech startups selected globally, L?kril Technologies will present its bio-based acrylic acid process technology to potential investors and other cleantech industry stakeholders.
Chicago, IL — (February 21, 2024) —L?kril Technologies Corporation is proud to announce it has been selected to present its bio-based acrylic acid process technology to investors and industry representatives at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL) 2024 Industry Growth Forum (IGF) , May 1-3, in Denver, Colorado. The U.S. Department of Energy’s NREL hosts the IGF, now in its 29th year. It is one of the nation’s premier events for cleantech entrepreneurs and other industry experts. L?kril earned the presentation spot from a field of more than 210 entrepreneurs following an extensive selection process.
L?kril Technologies catalyzes sustainability in chemical processes through sales of acrylics and licensing of related catalyst and process technology. The company provides competitive, environmentally friendly alternatives to high volume petrochemicals. L?kril’s revolutionary catalyst technology allows the supply of sustainable, bio-based acrylic acid and acrylate derivatives as low-carbon drop-in replacements to the paints, coatings, adhesives, and superabsorbents industries.
Innovation centers like NREL build new models to aid key players in the energy innovation environment, and the IGF is a nexus for the industry. It completely sold-out last year two weeks before the event and is a one-of-a-kind, premier event for cleantech entrepreneurs, investors, and experts from industry and the public sector. A major feature is the session of one-on-one meetings between potential investors and innovators. NREL is the only U.S. federal laboratory dedicated to renewable energy and energy efficiency research.
L?kril co-founder and CEO Dr. Chris Nicholas said, “We are very pleased to be invited to speak at this year’s Industry Growth Forum, and we look forward to meeting investors, talking about our bio-based acrylates technology. This technology will provide a cost-effective approach to helping acrylate producers meet their CO2 emissions reduction goals.”
The forum is a one-of-a-kind opportunity in the cleantech space—the premier event for cleantech entrepreneurs, investors, and experts from industry and the public sector to build relationships, showcase innovative technologies, and identify business solutions. NREL facilitates connections between cutting-edge startups, including L?kril Technologies, and motivated investors to drive innovation to market for impact. NREL is the only U.S. federal lab dedicated to renewable energy and energy efficiency research.
“The theme of this year’s IGF is ‘Breaking Ground,’ and I believe our presenters represent that well in a variety of different ways,” said NREL Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (IEC) Group Manager Katie Richardson. “From batteries to revolutionary software, these presenters will help us all break ground through innovation. There is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ deployment strategy as we continue the global transition to a cleaner energy future, and that’s why it’s crucial to be in the room at IGF 2024 to learn from peers in the industry.”
