Kyoto Celebrates 30 Years of Success at the January Furniture Show

This January, Kyoto proudly marks its 30th anniversary at the January Furniture Show at the NEC Birmingham, celebrating three decades of crafting quality upholstered furniture. From its humble beginnings as a futon specialist to becoming a trusted name in furniture manufacturing and importing, Kyoto has continually evolved to meet the needs of retailers, independent stores, and designers across the UK.

In 1995 Kyoto transitioned to a limited company and started manufacturing futons when demand outpaced their supply. Over the years, the company has grown from a small manufacturing unit in Peterborough to an established facility in Deeping St. James. Milestones include the automation of futon production in 2003 and a transformative business reinvention in 2013.

Kyoto invites all industry professionals, partners, and new connections to celebrate this remarkable milestone by visiting their stand at the show. A special timeline gallery wall will take attendees on a journey through the evolution of the Kyoto brand, highlighting its growth and innovations over the decades.

As Kyoto celebrates its past, it is equally focused on the future, with product development that prioritises customer needs – not only focusing on style and multifunction but long-lasting and environmentally responsible designs, ensuring that its products have a longer life cycle and can be reused or recycled.
