Kwirk is a new mobile social media app where you can give compliments via Adjicons, a colorful, vibrant and amazing way to give props to friends, photos, places and experiences. Enhance memories with these neat tags.
This montreal start-up has a lot of potential for the positive use of social media in creating a safe space for young people with an enhanced "liking" system designed for inclusion, giving compliments and creating social connectivity and a pro-social augmented mobile gamification layer for peer networks.
Check it out here.
Among my passion for startups, this Montreal GenZ anti-bullying mobile app has the potential to truly transform mobile memes into something far more complex than facebook likes and doubletaps of hearts on instagram. It's that depth, richness and color that I'm most looking forwards to experiencing as a fan of the concept and technology meets social innovation.
CTV News, a Canadian media outlet talks a bit about this young start-up here which alerted me to their presence:
Edit: We were able to post it above, but here is the link to the CTV feature:

I think my app Enjoi is actually much more engaging and it amplifies communication in a way that no app has been able to do so far. However, I was not able to secure any funding to move forward with the project. You win some, you lose some.
