Kush Bank extends support to the local community during Easter & Ramadan

As Christians around the world remembered the resurrection of Jesus Christ and Muslims around the globe continued to observe the holy month of Ramadan, the Kush Bank team was actively engaged with members of the community in various parts of Juba City through local charities and community organizations as part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Juba Central Prisons

The Kush Bank team, accompanied by Mr. Abdalrazaq,?handed over food items to the management of Juba Central Prisons. This management team works diligently under challenging circumstances to oversee the rehabilitation of citizens who will hopefully reform and contribute positively to the community.

Jebel Islamic Children’s Home

The second visit was to Jebel Islamic Children's Home – a home that provides a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned and vulnerable children. The Kush Bank team spent time interacting with the children and learning about their daily lives. They also donated food, clothing, and other essentials, which were gratefully received.

Mercy Divine Children’s Home – Kabo

The third visit was to Mercy Divine Children's Home in Kabo, led by Bidali Henry, CSR Specialist at Kush Bank. The home is a refuge for children who have been abandoned or are living in difficult circumstances. The Kush Bank team spent time playing with the children and learning about their background and stories. In addition, they donated food, clothing, and other essentials to support the home's ongoing work.

Charity Program to Roots Project

Kush Bank representatives visited a group of women doing beadwork at the Women's Union Compound. During the visit, they learned about their work and offered financial and in-kind support. The Charity Program to Roots Project aims to empower women in the community and help them develop and maintain profitable and sustainable livelihoods. The Kush Bank representatives were impressed by the women's dedication and creativity and pledged to continue supporting their work.

Konyo-Konyo Mosque

The last visit was to Konyo-Konyo mosque, where the Kush Bank team handed over crates of drinking water and dates (bala) for Muslims as part of the Bank’s Ramadan giving.
