Kung Hei Fat Choi!
The year of the Pig is nearly over as we make our final preparations to welcome in the year of the Rat here in Singapore this week.
According to Chinese state media the next 15 days of celebrations marking the Lunar New Year, locally known as the Spring Festival, will see an estimated 3 billion trips - 20 million more than last year - made within the nation. But the celebrations impact is global as people reunite with relatives around the planet amounting to the world’s largest annual mass movement of people, a great time to be active in the real world with OOH.
This time I will be celebrating in Cambodia and will be taking a well-earned rest after a busy end to the year in preparation for an even bigger year for Evolve APAC ahead. It is amazing to reflect on the journey we have been on over the last year, helping our clients run effective campaigns in different cultures and environments including China, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Australia just to name a few! We have achieved iconic dominations using world class OOH inventory and helped APAC brands achieve fame across online and offline platforms seamlessly.
Moving from London to Singapore was a significant change in my life, and for Evolve opening the office there - one of the best business decisions. The continued investments our clients are making into the Asia Pacific industry showed us, that it is way more efficient to be close to them as well as being able to meet for regular meetings and site tours together, brings more success to both parties. This is also the same with regards to our media partners based in different Asian countries. Enabling us to unify our ambitions and goals here at Evolve APAC to deliver the spectacular in OOH, which I can’t wait to continue next year.
The year of the rat has big footsteps to follow, but the ever-evolving OOH landscape is an exciting place to be as we look to work with mobile geofencing, dynamic OOH and print techniques to push the boundaries of what people expect to see on the streets tomorrow. Bring it on!
