Kumquatcello recipe using monday.com

Kumquatcello recipe using monday.com

OK, so it's safe to say, I now use monday.com for just about everything!

And I mean everything... lists, lists of lists, home renovation projects, education schedule, file storage... oh yes, I forgot, I also use it for work as a CRM, as a project tool, as a calendar, etc, etc.

So I thought all that sounds pretty boring to you, since why would you care that I need to galvanise the front gate, or remember to buy milk. But I think you might just like the next use.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you've probably heard of a sweet tasting Italian digestive drink called Lemoncello. It's basically a concentrated sweet lemon liqueur often served after a meal, and I love it, and I love making my own produce from scratch.

Only problem is, I don't have a lemon tree, well, one that bears enough fruit, but I do have a kumquat tree that gives me a 4Kg harvest.

Never heard of a Kumquat before? Well, it's basically a cross between a mandarin and a lemon, only it's grape-sized and very tasty.

So with my annual harvest of Kumquats, amongst many things, I make 'Kumquatcello'!

Like every good home-grower, I always share with my friends and one them asked for my Kumquatcello recipe and some tips on how to grow the fruit, I couldn't help myself... I had to bust out monday.com

But what do Kumquats and monday.com have in common you ask? ...hhmmm, nothing. But as I said, I can't help using monday for everything. So 20 minutes later, I've built a simple project board called Kumquatcello.

E' voila'.... now we have a checklist, a process and a timeline/gantt chart on how to make your very own golden nectar. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. I can hear your thoughts already, "Steve drank the monday.com Coolade", well in this case it's a very tasty Coolade, and yes I'm shameless so I'm just going to own it.

Now, since you've taken the time to read this, it would only be fair to share this monday.com board with you.

  • So here it is the board: https://view.monday.com/828290146-fc117eeaa9794570036a9497c93c1434

And, I guess this comes with two caveats, please only drink if you're you over the age of 18, although I would be very surprised if this article is mysteriously linked to a rise in underage drinking.

And secondly, this planting cycle is based for those of us in the southern hemisphere, so if you're living up top, then just reverse the months based on your seasons.

Enjoy!
