Kruunuvuorensilta Bridge Construction-Design Story Pt. 1

Dear bridge engineering community!

From behalf of SOFiN Consulting I have the honor to present to you this amazing cable-stayed bridge that is currently under construction in Finland.?

Some specifications of the bridge:

-?????????Span lengths: 53 + 3x66 + 260 + 260 + 6x62 + 48 [m].

-?????????Pylon height: 135 m

-?????????Number of cables: 64 pcs

-?????????Deck width: 15.3 … 19.3 m

-?????????Deck type: steel-concrete composite

The Eastern approach-spans are currently under construction and so far two spans have been launched and the next one will be launched early next week. At the site there is constant monitoring for construction and each launching set is being surveyed and analyzed.

In next release I will update you on the happenings on the site and I will also give you a little more insight about the installation method.
