Recently, Kroll and Kroll Ontrack surveyed 170 corporate in-house counsel to share their perspectives on modern legal challenges facing organizations. We asked about the most pressing issues to uncover some striking corporate counsel trends.

Here are some of those trends from the 2016 Corporate Risk Survey:

• Nearly half (47%) of companies don’t have an information governance program in place
• Only 41% report that their company’s incident response/data breach plans are regularly updated and tested
• Two-thirds of respondents believe they’re more at risk from external fraud than internal fraud
