Title: QA Analyst

1. Brief one-sentence description of what you do at KCL:?I, along with my team, ensure that our applications - both on web and app, meet the quality standards and business requirements through systematic testing.
2. What inspired you to join KCL? During the pandemic, it was my husband who introduced me to KCL for the first time and we were able to score some amazing deals at the time. Within no time, we got hooked and became loyal KCL users. So later when I stumbled across this job opening, I was beyond excited to be a part of a product that revolutionized our family's shopping experience. Being a woman in tech, the fact that we have two strong women at the helm of our organization and getting to experience that leadership firsthand is truly empowering. Every day I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside some of the most brilliant minds that make up our teams here at KCL.
3. Share a fun fact most people don’t know about you: In my spare time, I love trying out new recipes, and for a brief period long ago, I thought I was passionate about food photography too. I had a food page that I had hoped to grow, but then life happened, and it didn't really take off, lol.
4. What inspired you to become a QA Analyst? Although I have worked in a couple of different roles in the past, a key takeaway from all of them has been to always strive to make it worthwhile for the users (or in our case - readers/shoppers). I believe that by being part of the quality assurance process and aiming for excellence, I get to play a role in defining experiences and, thereby contributing to the success of our products. I find a lot of value in this.
5. What accomplishment during your time at KCL do you find most rewarding? I feel this is an exciting time to be at KCL, with a lot of good changes happening all around. In the past year, I got to be a part of some milestone projects including CMS (content management system) migration and all the rebrand efforts. It was a great opportunity to take part in, learn and grow. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in 2024.
6. What advice would you give other women looking to enter the field? I strongly believe that being a part of a product or an industry that resonates with you will always allow you to do your best work. When such an opportunity comes by, give it your best shot. Like any other field, setbacks and challenges can be great learning experiences for improvement and growth.
7. Can you share a piece of advice or a mantra that has been your guiding light in your career? “Everything positive I do, pushes me one step closer to my goals.”
