Q + A

Krazy: Anja Webb ?

Title: Editorial Staff Writer

  1. Brief one-sentence description of what you do at KCL: I write tips posts that focus on how to get the best deals when shopping.
  2. What inspired you to join KCL? The first time I visited the KCL site, I felt so seen. I loved that KCL is a woman-owned company that genuinely seeks to help improve people’s lives. That means a lot to me.
  3. Share a fun fact most people don’t know about you: I was a national champion cheerleader in high school and actually cheered throughout college as well.
  4. What is a typical day for an Editorial Staff Writer at KCL? I usually spend most of my time researching different ways to save on trending products, including looking up item price history, calling stores, testing out coupons and promo codes, and comparing prices across retailers. From there, I take everything I learn and simplify that info into easy-to-understand chunks.
  5. What kind of articles get you really hyped up to write about??I love writing about how to get free books. I know how important it is to have access to books at any age, so I give those articles my all.
  6. What do you find most rewarding about your position as an Editorial Staff Writer at KCL??Outside of my day-to-day writing, I find so much fulfillment in being able to help coordinate KCL’s involvement in Boise Pride. That’s just another aspect of the company culture that really aligns with my values and makes me feel seen and respected.
  7. Can you share a piece of advice or a mantra that has been your guiding light in developing content readers love??There was a time in my life when I only had $30 a week for groceries while living in New York City. I remember struggling to make ends meet and having sleep for dinner a few too many times. Whenever I write something now, I think about my past self and imagine I’m writing for her. What tips did I learn that made my meals stretch a little farther? What sales did I take advantage of? What advice would’ve helped me the most? Being that broke was tough, but I know sharing what I learned in those years truly helps our readers. And that’s what motivates me day in and day out.
