Customer Experience

Launch of a New Distribution Capability Solution

On the 10th of June,?Kenya Airways announced the launch of a New Distribution Capabilities (NDC) system as part of its indirect sales platform in scaling up the airline’s offering to travel agencies and travelers.?Supported by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the web-based distribution solution seeks to modernize the way air products are retailed to travel agents, corporations, and travelers.

Through this KQ NDC system,?Travel advisors around the globe will be empowered to access and sell more personalized content to the end user customer throughout the shopping experience. The system directly provides:?customer information, pricing autonomy, ancillaries such as?extra baggage &?preferred seats,?discounts and so much more, thus?reducing reliance on legacy systems.

Senior Citizens Product

KQ Jetsetter, Senior Citizens Product

Kenya Airways has now made flying a golden experience for?senior citizens aged 65 years and above. This?Senior Citizens?product offers customers an opportunity to fly with KQ as their?preferred carrier and enjoy up-to 20% off flight tickets for travel globally. Make the golden years worthwhile by visiting our?website?or any KQ sales office.

Family and Associates Product

KQ Jetsetter, Family and Associates Product

KQ customers who plan to fly as a family or associates for leisure and business events?from at-least two different points can now enjoy up-to 20% off their flight tickets in business class with 5 attendees on-board and up-to 15% off in economy class with 10 attendees on-board. The product can be accessed on our?website?or at any KQ sales office.

Partnerships

Delta Expanded Codeshare

Kenya Airways has expanded its codeshare partnership with Delta Air Lines to additional markets within the U.S. and Africa. This new agreement will increase customers' travel options to?25 cities across the U.S. and Canada and 19 cities in Africa.

KQ Jetsetter, Kenya Airways Delta Partnership

We shall place our code on Delta flights from New York-JFK to Boston, Buffalo, Norfolk, Rochester, and Syracuse for customers flying on the nonstop Nairobi-New York-JFK services.?Customers will be able to connect from Delta's daily New York-JFK-Accra flights with one ticket and checked-through baggage and benefits will apply for loyalty program members for the additional services.

Meanwhile, Delta will add its code to our additional frequencies between Accra, Ghana, and Freetown, Sierra Leone, Monrovia, Liberia, and Nairobi-Kenya.

African Union Summit 2022

KQ Jetsetter, African Union Summit 2022, AU Summit 2022

This year, the?African Union Summit?to be held from the 14th to 17th of July 2022 will be hosted in Lusaka, Zambia. Kenya Airways takes pride in being the official carrier for this summit flying delegates to Lusaka from: Abidjan, Lagos, Accra, Monrovia, Bangui, Douala, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Dare salaam, Entebbe, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, Kigali, Bujumbura, Lilongwe, Johannesburg, Cape town, Ndola, Livingstone, Victoria Falls, Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Juba, Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Seychelles, Antananarivo and Nampula at a 15%?discounted rate off flight tickets. Delegates can conveniently make their reservation?online?or at their nearest KQ sales office.

Summer Demand Route Frequency Changes

The summer season is here and we have reviewed our route network with changes to the following routes:

London, United Kingdom

Increase from 7 to 8 times weekly over June & July with an additional overnight flight from Nairobi to London every Sunday.

Paris, France

Increase from 5 to 6 times weekly with flights from Nairobi to Paris every night, excluding Saturdays.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Increase from 4 to 5 times weekly Nairobi to Amsterdam. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Accra, Ghana

Increase from 5 weekly to daily flights from Nairobi to Accra. Accra to Freetown, Sierra Leone increases to x4 weekly, while Accra to Monrovia, Liberia increases to x3 weekly.

This is quite a exemplary good move KQ Team but please you need to consider lowering your local flight rates, and let be like international class service and you will have more clients.

Looking ahead. In respect to international tourism, consider entering into a contract with tour agents and develop a package that includes air travel, accommodation, safari...whole package.
