KPI for Software Development team

Today we are going to build the KPI for software development team.

Remember: KPI must be measurable, actionable.

1. We can look at time. deliver project on time. This can be measured. Dateline is agreed upfront and action can be taken when the schedule slip.
2. We can look at quality. We can measure the bugs created. Say target less than 10 bugs per software a month.
3. We can look at clearance of bugs. How fast. Say bugs cleared within 24 hours
4. We can look at customer satisfaction. Say target >80%. It may come from ease of use, nice design, less bugs, intuitive, support etc.
5. We can look at creation of new IPs. Say new module created. Say target 12 a year.
6. We can look at financial. Additional orders of RM200,000 during the year fro existing projects.
7. We can look at staff. All staff to have Training need analysis. All staff shall go through training based on TnA recommendations.
