Talking about the weather is a conversation starter, right? October has given us some wonderful colors, making this autumn surprisingly enjoyable here in Oslo ?? The DORA Report 2024 is out!

For the 10th consecutive year, the DORA research provides valuable insights that are shaping the future of DevOps. Here are the highlights:

• AI in DevOps: AI has made notable productivity gains for teams but comes with a 7% reduction in stability. Navigating AI’s pros and cons will be key for resilient DevOps practices.
• Platform Engineering: Productivity and team performance are up, but throughput is down. Balancing these effects will be crucial as more teams adopt platform engineering in their workflows.
• Developer Experience: Just like last year, the research finds that top-performing teams focus on regular feedback and adapting based on metrics. A timely reminder that a healthy and supportive culture can significantly drive positive outcomes in a team.

CrowdStrike is facing lawsuit from Delta Airlines

Adam Meyers’ brave apology on the recent global outage didn’t manage to comfort the affected organizations, as now CrowdStrike is faced with a lawsuit from Delta Airlines.

Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Airline, seeks compensation from CrowdStrike and Microsoft as the damage of the outage reached the $500mil mark, with thousands of canceled flights and extensively manual processes to update over 40.000 servers.?
