Korean conglomerate Doosan opens R&D Center in Baden, Switzerland
Doosan is one of the oldest companies in Korea. Founded in 1896, it grew from a small trading house to a Fortune 500 company producing power plants, machine tools, ISB and other industrial goods. One of its subsidiaries, Doosan Heavy Industries (DHI), offers a wide range of services and products in EPC. Well known for desalination technology, it also builds massive diesel engines used in vessels, power plants and production facilities. DHI recently opened a R&D center in Baden, close to Zurich/Switzerland. DHI selected this location as it is one of the worldwide hotspots of engine research and development. World leading technology institutes (ETHZ, EPFL, ZHAW) are close to Baden as well as leading industry firms such as ABB and others. As many other global industrial companies, DHI finds the perfect ecosystem to advance its research and development capabilities in Switzerland. 7 年Nice! I've had nothing but great work experiences with Doosan's HRSG team. I'm happy for Baden and Doosan. This will be a nice fit.
