Korea Pack & ICPI Week’s opening day is ‘busy and crowded’

Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024 opened on the 23rd. Participants on the first day increased by about 30% compared to last year, according to the organizer Gyeongyeon Exhibition.

This ‘Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024’ is held by combining Korea Pack and ICPI Week; the former is a processing and packaging exhibition, and the latter is an exhibition on pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, and logistics distribution. It was held for the first time in two years. This exhibition will be held at KINTEX in Goyang for four days from Tuesday, April 23rd to Friday, April 26th.

‘Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024’ consists of eight industry categories, including packaging, logistics, cold chain, pharmaceuticals/bio, cosmetics, chemical devices, and research and analysis equipment. A total of 1,400 companies from 23 countries set up 4,500 booths.

The exhibition consists of eight exhibitions covering the entire supply chain of the industry; from raw materials → product development and investment → research and experimentation (R&D) → manufacturing, processing and packaging → logistics and distribution, to showcase the latest technologies and technologies in the industry. Future trends can be viewed in one place, and all exhibition halls in KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 and 2 are utilized.

KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 (Halls 1 to 5) will host the International Packaging Equipment Exhibition (Korea Pack), the International Pharmaceutical, Bio, and Cosmetic Technology Exhibition (Cophex), and the International Chemical Equipment Industry Exhibition (Korea Chem). Major exhibition items include △automatic packaging machines, printed packaging and eco-friendly packages, △bio and pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and packaging materials, △pharmaceutical and cosmetics production and packaging machines, and △chemical equipment such as chemical processes and powders. In addition, there are national pavilions for Italy, India, and China, an exhibition hall for award-winning works from the Korea Star Awards, and an ESG sustainable packaging exhibition hall.

At KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 (Halls 7-8), the International Cosmetic Raw Materials and Technology Exhibition (CI Korea), the International Pharmaceutical and Bio Industry Exhibition (Korea Pharm & Bio), and the International Research, Experiment and Advanced Analysis Equipment Exhibition (Korea Lab) are held, with 400 companies participating with approximately 950 booths. Main exhibition items in halls 7 to 8 include △cosmetic raw materials △medicinal raw materials, biotechnology drug startups and consignment services △laboratory basics, laboratory safety, measurement and analytical equipment. Pharmaceutical and food research equipment, R&D convergence technology devices and facilities are also exhibited, and national pavilions for pharmaceutical materials from India and China are participating.

In Exhibition Hall 2 (Halls 9 to 10), the International Logistics Industry Exhibition (Korea Mat) and the International Cold Chain Industry Exhibition (Korea Cold Chain) are held, with 800 booths from 200 companies. All key items in the logistics industry are introduced, including artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and robots, and optimized customer solutions.

Various educational programs tailored to each industry sector and events related to technology trends, policies, overseas markets, and investment attractions are in line.


The packaging field includes △Korea Packaging Awards (Korea Star Awards) ceremony and exhibitions for the winners △Sustainable Packaging Conference. Pharmaceutical field includes △Ministry of Food and Drug Safety drug policy briefing △GMP validation seminar △Data Integrity △Pharmaceutical Bio Business Development Strategy forums, Bio Tech Venture Investment forums △Korea-India Pharmaceutical Business forums △workshops for new technologies, and new product seminars. In the cosmetics and chemical sectors, more than 120 programs await, including △Sustainability and Digital Innovation Conference △Skin-based Technology Development Group Research Performance Presentation Seminar △2024 Cosmetics Export Diversification Regulatory Trends Seminar △Domestic and International Chemical Regulation Response Workshop.

The organizer also prepared logistics services for convenient transportation to Korea Pack & ICPI Week 2024. QR codes are prepared for floor guidance and information; a free round-trip shuttle bus departing from Seoul Station and Hapjeong Station to KINTEX operates during the exhibition period; there is a free circular electric bus to take visitors back & forth between Exhibition Hall 1 and 2; temporary parking lot nearby is also in operation in case of shortage of parking space.

Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, except Friday the 26th, the last day of the exhibition, as it closes at 4 p.m.
