The exciting tournament— which was eventually won by S8UL Aman—had Konami releasing an exclusive in-game rewards for Indian gamers. They can log into eFootball to earn special Diwali-themed rewards, including unique player packs featuring popular stars from the Indian football team, along with limited-time Diwali edition shirts.
Several tournament participants, including K18, Senpai Spider, and Yes Smarty Pie, will further engage fans by streaming the matches on their YouTube channels, enhancing the interactive experience for viewers. Konami obviously has an eye in capturing a lion’s share of India’s rapidly growing mobile gaming market, and the brand’s free-to-play title, eFootball, is certain to be part of this plan, more so, as the title has been chosen by FIFA as an official title in the FIFAe World Cup.???
According to ASN data, Konami (39.1%,~ US$39.8m) is the biggest investor for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q122, with a quarterly average spend of almost US$3.5m during this period. While the bulk of its deals is invested in major European football collaborations such as Arsenal, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United, it also has an AFC Champions League deal and a string of Japanese baseball deals.
