Komoverse was chosen as a top 3 finalist out of 60+ P2E (Play-to-Earn) games invited to the Play-2-Earn Hybrid Expo Asia–the world’s first event specifically on the Play-to-Earn Industry. The event was physically held in Bangkok from August 10-13 both at W Hotel Bangkok and also streamed live in the Metaverse. With more than 250 in-person as well as 2,000 virtual attendees from all around the world, the exhibition was able to bring together some of the best and brightest minds in the blockchain industry. Attendees were a combination of the most famous gaming guilds, Web2 & Web3 Venture Capitalists, exciting game developers to some of the largest exchanges and launchpads together with some key opinion leaders.

With a holistic approach in connecting highly reputable industry veterans with promising GameFi companies to build a strong P2E community, the expo stood out for its ability to create an immersive programme. This enabled the attendees to be able to learn from one another as well as fostering new partnerships that are key in the growth of the GameFi industry which is still nascent today but has tremendous potential in the near future.

One of the most awaited events of the entire expo was the Top Game pitch competition wherein the best new games would compete against each other for a prize pool of up to USD 3 Million. Komoverse was chosen as one of the 8 shortlisted projects that were invited to pitch at the event. The presentation which was led by Komoverse Co-Founders was met with a tremendously positive reception not only by the judges but also by the audience. They were particularly enthralled by the exciting gameplay and the revenue potential of the game. In the end, Komoverse was judged to have placed in the top 3.

Co-Founder of Komoverse, Dylan Montana, expressed his excitement at the reception that Komoverse received throughout the expo.

“This expo is our first foray in showing the world what Komoverse is all about and I can say that we have been extremely encouraged with all of the reactions that we have received from our esteemed colleagues. The interest that has been shown by guilds, exchanges, and investors have been very flattering and shows us that we are heading in the right direction. Despite not winning the pitching contest, Komoverse is proud to have been given the opportunity to compete ably against the best. We will continue to work tirelessly to improve our product so that we keep growing to become one of the leading blockchain games in the world.”

The event was attended by several outstanding judges from the P2E space, including venture capitalists and guilds such as DFG/Jsquare, Enjin Starter, Faculty Group, Tokocrypto, Openspace Ventures, SeaX Ventures, and YGG Sea.

Our other Co-Founder, Hendry Halim, was a highlighted speaker at the ???? ????????-????-???????? ??????????????????????? Panel. As this was one of the most talked-about topics in the entire industry, many were curious to hear what some of the leading experts had to say about the sustainability of P2E in general. When asked the question directly, Hendry conveyed that most P2E game builds were not sustainable, especially those wherein players get 100-200% ROI in 2-3 months. A key aspect to being sustainable comes first and foremost through the gameplay wherein people actually want to play for the game and not just the rewards. Hendry then reiterated that Komoverse has measures in place to create a sustainable P2E ecosystem that will unite gamers all over the world to play and earn.
