Kohler’s Luxury Ice Bath Elevates At-Home Performance Solutions

By Ellie Goodman

Positioned as both a luxury fitness recovery tool and premium health-boosting experience, the Ice Bath, by exclusive US social wellness club Remedy Place, offers spa-inspired aesthetics and high-spec features –?taking at-home self-care to new heights.

Developed in collaboration with fellow US brand Kohler, and harnessing its extensive bathroom design acumen, the high-tech ice bath matches sleek, contemporary design with precision engineering and leading wellness insights. The cryotherapy tool will launch in Spring 2025 as the first of many innovative product and experiential offerings from the partnership.

Though minimalist in appearance – with dark, wood tones and a subtle control panel – it's the fine details that allow the bath its premium label. A breathwork light leads immersion sessions as “ergo-dynamic” seating allows bathers to either sit upright or recline on a cushioned headrest. Precision temperature control means each bather’s ideal temperature can be set and maintained, so the bath – which can hold up to 95 gallons of water at less than 4°C – is always ready to use, and a UV-powered filtration system keeps water fresher for longer.

For those new to cryotherapy (the benefits of which include reduced muscle swelling, accelerated recovery, and improved mental resilience), bathing sessions led by Dr. Jonathan Leary, founder and chief executive of Remedy Place and Kohler’s lead self-care advisor, are available on the brand’s Konnect app. Speaking of the partnership, Katie Stevens, general manager of Kohler Wellness, said: “Kohler has long provided our customers with bold and innovative products to help enhance their homes as a sanctuary for rest, recovery and renewal – so working together in partnership with Dr. Leary will further enhance our wellness design leadership.”

With consumers increasingly considering self-care a top priority – see Bathroom Evolutions 24/25 – spa-inspired health hubs represent a burgeoning trend in bathroom design. The desire for these premium at-home wellness spaces presents a key opportunity for brands and manufacturers to elevate their offerings with multisensorial health-boosting additions including saunas, steam rooms and gyms.?
