What is personal branding?
According to the?Influencer Marketing Hub, "Your personal brand is how you promote yourself. It is the unique combination of skills, experience, and personality that you want the world to see." Creating a personal brand is essential nowadays in the social media world.
Figuring out?WHO?you want to be on social media can be challenging. Reaching as many people as possible is the ultimate objective for many professionals, entrepreneurs, and influencers. How do we determine what makes us unique and what we want to be known for??Here are a few tips?for maintaining authenticity and integrity while still communicating your goal.
- Discover Your Passions/Interests- As an individual, what are you interested in??What topics do you want to share with your social media world? Do you have any hobbies that you feel are part of what makes you, you? Anyone who wants to develop a personal brand must be able to know what they have the most curiosity in. If you are unsure about your passions, I will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone to dig deeper into who you are. Pray that God allows you to show you what He has in store for your life.?
- Be Unique -?Why be like the person next to you? Why not be original and unlike the rest of the world? If you want to develop a personal brand that stands out, you must be unique. For example, the singer, Sia stands out for never showing her face but having a beautiful voice. Even at award shows, she stays hidden under a wig with her eyes covered. Sia specifically does this so that she does not always have to be a "celebrity." It's a unique approach to portray who she is. In personal branding, being different is good, but this does not mean that everyone will support you.?
- Tell Your Story -?People want authenticity and originality. Being vulnerable with your struggles and expressing who you are can help your branding become known. Even if you feel like you do not have a "story," you can be upfront about your life so that people feel connected to you. Building a relationship with your following develops connections and relationships that can last for years to come.
What do you want to be known for? When someone says your name, what do you want them to say about you afterward??Being vulnerable, unique, and having passions can strengthen your brand more than ever before.?
I want to know your guys' thoughts!
