Knowledge Without Implementation Is Meaningless

Welcome back everyone!

I hope you are all having an awesome summer. Before we get into it, I have a very exciting announcement to make. This week, both Treyton and I were named top 100 advisors by Investopedia, something neither of us expected to get but are so honored. It is one of the top awards in the industry! Anyways, let's get into it.

“Education without implementation just leads to smarter people doing the same dumb things.” I saw this quote on twitter from Jamie Hopkins who I really admire and thought it would be great to share with you all.

We live in a world today where every bit of information is at our fingertips. You can find any idea that will either confirm you are right or that someone else is wrong. We almost have too much information in front of us these days.

Value does not come from knowing the information alone, it comes from actually implementing the knowledge we are gaining. It's the hard part of life.

I always love the quote “if all you needed was the information, everyone would be a doctor and have a 6 pack.” We all know most of the things we need to do, yet we do not do them. What we really need is a system to execute and put all the information together into a way that leads to better results.

As you go about this month, think about what quality information you have learned. The key is to not stop there, come up with a way to implement this new education.

Maybe you learned how to reverse budget. Well, how do you actually start doing this on a month to month basis that leads to more saving and investing.

Maybe you learned that you need to start eating more protein and less carby snacks. Well how do you actually do this in an easy way that leads to you staying on track?

Take the information you are learning a step further than you have been! Implement it and improve your life!?

A Few Takeaways For The Month

  1. Spending more money during the summer is a reality most people face. Spending is not always the same throughout the year. Do not beat yourself up for this, but you should plan for it. Look to save more during periods of time you do less, and save less when you are doing more. You have to live your life!
  2. Inflation is hitting homes hard right now. If this is you, go through your cash flow and budget. Sort your spending by most valuable to your life all the way down to least valuable. If you need to cut costs, start with the bottom. This should be the easiest to cut as it will impact your life the least.
