Knowledge & Experience

As I’ve aged and seen and experienced more?things?in life I see just how profound the simple?things?in life are. Growing up on a farm and being outside all the time those were good days.


At the end of the day, I was exhausted, proud and knew I put in a hard days work. That’s?what?physical exercise does for you though. Whenever I run and work hard, those days feel much better than days I don’t run. Even if I walk for hours, a quick run does the body good.


Thinking back to high school, there was a girl in all the AP classes. So homework wasn’t that big of a deal to her. Yet, her doing homework for gym class was too much. She didn’t see it as homework. That outside of that single class she also had to move if she was to pass the mile.


It’s this type of attitude that makes a person fat, unhealthy and out of shape. She was perfectly capable of moving, just didn’t put in the work. Overtime this neglect of the physical side of your body makes it deteriorate and no matter how smart or hard a worker you are, you can’t outwork physical neglect. Your physical body will fail you.


Which is why doing simple?things?every day, like drinking water, exercising and not eating like complete garbage keeps your physical body in check. Then reading and learning on a daily basis keeps your mental faculties strong.


It’s small?things?executed consistently over a long period of time that produces incredible results. It might not be until years later that you see results come into your life. They are just building under the surface ready to be used.


It’s not until I’ve experienced a little more in life to understand that those days on the farm, feeding cattle or fixing fences were all you needed for a great day.


Those are the days we are all chasing. A perfect day that ends with a cold beer and know that we did all we could and that the job is done.?


Chase more of those types of days and rack them up as much as possible.?
