Knowledge 23 Wrap Up

Knowledge 23 Wrap Up

Learned a lot or had a great time? - YES! Thank you everyone for attending #know23 this year. It was an AMAZING week thanks to all of you.

Between the GraphQL labs, the karaoke, Family Feud, and the keynote, there was still time enough to meet so many people. Everyone was so nice and very appreciative. If you didn't hear it then, let me say it here - it is YOU who inspire ME. You are the reason I get out of bed in the morning to create content; the kind I wish I had as a new ServiceNow developer. To truly show your appreciation, consider paying it forward. Be part of the community, join (or create) a developer meetup, create content, and get out there!

Congratulations to all our MVPs. There were so many awards at Monday's dinner. Congratulations to the hackathon winners. You did some awesome work despite our karaoke party right next door for a couple hours. :) And of course, congratulations to #TheDevvies winners for your App of the Year. I hope you cherish it for years to come as much as I do my original one from #know10 . I know next year's submissions are going to be even greater.

Several people asked me "how many selfies do you think people took during the week?" I didn't count, but I would say we set a new record. Perhaps next year I'll bring a clicker (or have my wife do one for me) and we can have a competition similar to guessing the number of M&Ms in the jar. (Adding that to my #know24 ideas...)

On the topic of numbers, thank you everyone who helped us reach the milestone of 500,000 community members last week! As I said in the CreatorCon keynote, it's our community that makes the ServiceNow ecosystem so special. Admins, project managers, architects, developers (of all skill levels) working together to make the world better. So cool! Keep asking questions and keep helping others.

And now for a long, and knowingly incomplete list of thank yous... Lauren McManamon , thank you for being a great co-emcee for the CreatorCon keynote. You handled yourself like a pro the entire time. Your leadership on the Builder Track is also greatly appreciated. We both learned a lot.

Thank you to my wife, Donna Tomasi , I love you. After 35 years, you continue to amaze me. Your help at the conference was so appreciated. Everyone loved you. As predicted, people wanted to get selfies with YOU! I am truly blessed to have you by my side. I'm so thankful that we could enjoy some family time with our daughter Liisa Dapkus and son-in-law Grantas Dapkus before and during the event.

It truly takes team work to make the dream work. #know23 was a shining example of that. So many other people to thank, let's start with our team. Mark Obee for your support and the Star Wars t-shirt. Piero DePaoli for your leadership. Earl Duque , what a hackathon! You and Sarah Garey made the MVPs feel super special the entire time. Celina Zamora , Tanvi Gokhale , 李黎 , you kept things running during the conference. Jason McKee for challenging me to stretch my maker skills in new directions - the Family Feud game was a hit. Pranav Bhagat for stepping up when we needed you. I can't wait to see what you do next year! Kreg Steppe thanks for everything from joining me on the hot air balloon ride to helping keep the lab instances running. Kristin Erickson for your assistance to get Bill McDermott 's signature on #TheDevvies certificates. Mike Stockman for being a strong advocate for the ServiceNow community.

And of course, thank you everyone who took time to stop and get a selfie with me. I'm a developer and creator at heart and you make me feel very special for one week of the year. As I said earlier, you continue to inspire me to do what I do. Thank you ServiceNow for continuing to believe in my crazy ideas and letting me be me.

Crazy ideas for #know24 are already floating around on our end. I can't wait to see what you all do over the next year. I look forward to seeing you all again at #know24 .
