Reference text: Jeremiah 29:11-14
Many of us are familiar with the scripture in Jeremiah chapter 29, where God says to an exiled nation that He knows the plans that He has for them.? God is the same yesterday and forever, so He also knows the plans that He has for us today.? I think we often do ourselves a disservice when we stop at verse 11.? Chapter 29 goes on to say that when we pray, God will listen.? When we look for Him with all our hearts, we will find Him.? In fact, He will let us find Him!? I believe these four verses are key to understanding more about Him, and they whet our appetites to discover why we were created. ?God has a plan for each of us, and it should be our ultimate goals to fulfill those plans and reach our destinies.
How can we know His plans for us? ?We can ask Him and rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us to where the answers are.? Knowing that God has plans for us and that He hears us offers me a sense of peace.? Being human, though, I sometimes worry when I cannot see the end or even the next step.? When worry starts to grow, I’m getting better at refocusing and believing that God knows what He’s doing. ?We must trust Him and have faith that His plans for us are best.
The Lord bless you and keep you.? The Lord make His face shine upon you.? The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.? ?- Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV
