KNOW YOUR WHY

KNOW YOUR WHY

We just entered yet again a new year and new decade. I find the older I get the more peace I seek. The newness of this day, year and decade willfully reminds us that anything is possible, and everything is available, should we choose to explore the unknown potential buried under the cold hard fear that attempts to suffocate the fire burning deep inside us. We cannot predict the storms to come or where the path of hardship will take us, however we can control how we experience the moment. The time is now to dial in on your dreams upon that which inspires your soul, to be more and do more in this life.

Take a moment to step back and reflect on everything that happened throughout the past year and readjust for the year ahead.  Assess where you are weak and where you are strong. What worked and what didn’t. Now is the time to start preparing for the moves you’re going to make. What do you have planned? It’s time for us to grow and elevate those around us.

Remember BIG dreams equal BIG problems/obstacles. With that said, if anyone tells you they have little problems or few obstacles to overcome, then that tells me they have small dreams. Keep in mind that your habits are formed by your actions. A repetitive action, day in and day out, is where true change takes place. Nothing worthwhile will happen overnight. Don’t set yourself up for failure by having a dozen or more life changes you want to make happen in a week. Instead focus on several definitive goals a year and work on them consistently. This is not a race, it’s a journey. Be consistent and stay the course.

As Adm. McRaven said. “If you want to change the world, find someone to help you paddle.”  And don’t ever, ever ring the bell.

See you on the high ground…
