I am so excited to discuss this topic because there have been so many times in my life where I have allowed my limits to stop me from experiencing the best out of life. I may sound like a broken record to some but 13 years of my life was lost with depression and I am now passionate to reclaim my power. It was so easy to use excuses in the past to self sabotage my own success. However, as I reflect daily on my life, I have realized my own behavior was the result of my mindset. I have accomplished what I have believed more often than what I have said. So I have learned to create an action plan on what I say and build my belief with my actions and behavior. So I would like to discuss ways that you can build your belief with your daily routine to ensure your consistency and success. There are 3 areas that I will address and that is curiosity, action and collaboration.
Curiosity is so important to improve your business and personal life. When we begin to have the awareness of how we are showing up we may find ourselves around others who are not supporting our desire to move closer to becoming a better version of ourselves. I found on my journey that much of my time was spent in mindless living, I was on auto pilot and did not take time to reflect on where I was headed and mapping out the best course of action to achieve what I desired. I simply was doing all I could to make it through another day. I look back and observe how many days and hours I lost with that mindset. Today, I choose to connect with people who challenge me to improve daily. One way, I accomplish this is with books and interviews. I am excited to connect with people in my tribe that work to help me use my time reflecting on how I can improve my daily routine . Elba Colón- Empowering Women and Strengthening Businesses as a Wellness Coach and I have been helping each other with our growth by choosing to host discussions on books that we have decided to read together. Do you have a friend or business associate that you can partner with to hold you accountable for practices and routines that can help you improve in your life? Reach out to them and create an opportunity to build an activity in your daily or weekly routine.
Curiosity can also be engaged by connecting with successful people and simply interviewing them about their success. I have had the pleasure to interview Ivan Misner on a few occasions and that would not have been possible if I did not reach out. We often have many examples of individuals who are doing what we aspire to do yet we do not seek out the opportunity to get insight from them . I often would share my ideas with others who did not share my energy for dreaming and I would allow them to kill my dreams. I would allow their beliefs to impact mine and then I would remain stuck. I have learned as a mother of 15 children, that you have to be your own hero. No one is coming to rescue you. We are 100% responsible for our choices and behavior so we should be strategic in how we design our day and affirmations. I now spend time with others who inspire me to live beyond my excuses.
Action is simply putting yourself out there. We often shy away from telling others what we are doing but if we do not share - how will they know about it? My mom would always tell me as a child that people are not mind readers - you need to learn to speak up because not everyone is thinking what you are thinking. We have learned to be quiet and believe that sharing is salesy but how is anyone going to know if we do not share? I am excited to share my story of overcoming 13 years of depression. During that time I did not see a way out. I was afraid that would be my life forever and I am passionate about giving hope to others to avoid what I did or inspire others to seek help in their lives to rewrite their personal story.

I have learned that I am not responsible for others decisions yet I can share my story to give them a different perspective that can assist them in making their decisions. I have felt in the pass that I had no energy to move towards the things I wanted because I was weighed down with my own thoughts and problems yet I realized that if I learned to focus on something positive for 15 minutes at a time that my mood would improve. Over time I began to think how can I build this time in my day and now I wake up focused on a day of positive thinking instead of just 15 minutes but I had to start with baby steps. Where do you see a need for improvement in your day or life? Create a 15 minute plan to begin to do something different today. Do you want more exposure for your business, better marketing strategy, etc. Have you considered Livestream TV ? I love the ability to create an ecosystem with my content that is not subject to censorship or jumping through hoops to be eligible for monetization. I have learned to stay relevant by holding on to my principles and saying yes to new opportunities along the way. Begin today with doing something new outside of your comfort zone. You will be glad that you did.
This is my best antidote to fear, doubt and self sabotage - the ability to collaborate. We are stronger when we are connected to others. When we have others supporting us and encouraging us that is the power to achieve greatness. I love ALL of my connections. I would not be where I am as a podcast host, tv producer, author, keynote speaker and owner of various income streams without the connections that I have. We are mighty and stronger together rather than alone. I am a product of conversations, referrals, offers and support. People pour into me as much as I pour into them. Do you actually know who your core circle is that supports you? I had the pleasure of meeting with my connection D A N I E L H. and he shared a way to assess who is really engaging with you and how much time they are dedicating to you. I encourage you to stop briefly and look at how you are spending your time and consider if it is restoring you or depleting you.
Connect with those who are restoring you, create opportunities to collaborate and hold each other accountable. I had to learn to CHOOSE to be proactive with all that I desired in life. Choose wisely because it will impact your future in a positive or negative way. You have the power to be your own algorithm so what are you choosing to allow to come into your newsfeed.
