In this newsletter, we will dig deeper into our health. In order to understand the basics of our health, we must know some basic concepts like :

We all know since our childhood that during breath we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Now today I want to know you the intermediate process also.

The oxygen that we inhale during breath ultimately goes into our cells where the mitochondria use this oxygen to produce energy in the form of ATP. And in this process an element called the FREE RADICALS is also produced, that is harmful for our health.

The free radicals are the chemical species that damages our cells. And there in today's lifestyle there are many things that catalyzes the production of free radicals in our bodies like:

Air Pollution

Pesticides

Fast foods

Smoking

Alcohol, etc.

Now here comes the role of Antioxidants. Antioxidants plays the role of neutralizing the free radicals in our bodies thereby helping us stay healthy. Some antioxidants can be produced by the body itself, but maximum antioxidants come into our body from our diet mainly from green vegetables and fruits.

In today's lifestyle, the fruits and vegetables are got polluted due to extensive use of the chemicals and pesticides.

So, in today's lifestyle there is imbalance between the free radicals and the antioxidants in our body and that imbalance is called the OXIDATIVE STRESS.

Oxidative stress is the main reason behind the many degenerative diseases like heart problems, diabetes, arthritis, etc.

We must alter our lifestyle in order to avoid oxidative stress in our body and we must try to increase the intake of foods rich in Antioxidants so that we can create a balance between free radicals and antioxidants in our bodies thereby reducing the oxidative stress.

We came to know about the plant called SEABUCKTHORN that is the richest source?of antioxidants and most importantly it is completely wild i.e., there is no need of chemicals and fertilizers to produce it.
