What Business Do I Have Talking About Courage?

I’ve been up photographing the Golden Knights—the U.S. Army Parachute Team—on several occasions, but I’ve never jumped. Sure, I’ve done standup comedy, asked out the prettiest girls back when I was in high school (they always said “no”), and even gone on a ride-along with the Boise PD at 80 mph down the sidewalk.

Adrenaline? I’ve chased it in my own way. But the kind of courage it takes to be a first responder or member of the military? The everyday kind that shows up in the face of immense pressure? That’s something different.
