Know & Manage Thyself

It has been said Many times in our Shastras (Scripture) that Self-Knowledge is the Beginning of Self Improvement. In my last article (Perception is the Inception) I told that The Attitude of a person measures the altitude of His Success.

The World is viewed differently by everyone, and it is an Individual’s Perception that governs his ambition and the way he views the Opportunities in this World. We all have different goals and may even change the during the course of our life. If we have an attitude that is appropriate to our objective, success is assured. Once we are clear on what we want to do with our life, our success will depend on how well we cultivate, improve or change the attitude needed to keep us on target.

Our desired Success is starts with Managing Yourself. Mahatma Gandhi has very well said that, “Be the Change, what you want to see”. Means Everything Starts with knowing, Improving and Managing Thyself.

IDENTIFY YOUR WEAK LINK AND ACT NOW

One weak Link can spell disaster for the whole chain. Hence, analyse yourself. See if you have any flaws and frailties that can play havoc with your Organisation and your aims. If you do have an Achilles heel somewhere, attend to it. Remove the Weakness and Stride ahead from Strength to Strength.

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there. The People who make haste are usually saving minutes after having wasted hours. We all know that War-Ships are Safe in Harbour, but they are not meant for that Purpose. So take decision. if it is right, well and good. And if it is wrong you will find out soon enough. Admitting you are wrong is a modest way of showing you have been a little wiser.

Ideas are like Time and tide, wait for no one. You also do not have to wait for the best Idea. Implement the better Idea; still better and the best will follow.

KITES RISE AGAINST, NOT WITH THE WIND

“The Gem Cannot be polished without Friction, nor the Man without trials”. Only if you go through the Wars Bravely, you will get the Medals. And, isn’t it always more fun to win a hard fight than an easy one?

You will have no quarrels with life, as long as you have something to do when you get up every morning. 90% of Decisions can be taken immediately on the basis of past experience and only 10% require in-depth analysis. We all know that there is always one thing more to do. Unless you are forced to use your mind, you become mentally lazy and will never fulfil your potential.

Do not wait for extraordinary circumstances to do good actions; try to use ordinary situation and make the result extraordinary. Big Achievements can be made only by a man who is content with small Beginnings. What I came to know after start reading books is that, the genuine beauty of acquiring knowledge is that You can Learn anytime. All the Confidence is acquired through Positive thinking and positivity is triggered off by good books, good friends and good visits.

If you want to be a successful, you must have to display enough courage to welcome failures. Along with don't forget, Honesty is the still the best policy, with a little bit of common sense.
