Last week, It was great reconnecting with friends and sharing my research at the SOCIETY FOR MEDICAL DECISION MAKING INC conference in Boston! I presented our work on precision screening in CML, where we used a local imputation algorithm to fill data gaps and then applied predictive models to forecast future biomarker levels, enabling more tailored patient monitoring strategies. I also shared a poster about a real-world data and microsimulation model to analyze how out-of-pockets costs impact diabetes management and long-term health outcomes. Both projects are part of exciting collaborations at The CHOICE Institute, where we're advancing research in healthcare decision-making and policy!

Dr. Jing Li, Associate Professor of Health Economics at The CHOICE Institute, School Of Pharmacy University Of Washington has led?a study recently published in the?Journal of Health Economics?on the first national impact evaluation of Medicare payment of advance care planning. Medicare started paying for advance care planning (ACP) in 2016, which are conversations between clinicians and patients on goals of care. ??
