Know about the 7 Rs of logistics and Supply chain Management
Logistics management is the process of controlling products and services from the point of production to the end of consumption. It entails efficient planning, design, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities. One of the most essential principles in logistics management is the 7 rights, or 7Rs, which managers must apply to gain a foundational understanding of logistics.
1) Right Product: While selecting a product, any organization should look into potential issues that can appear during transportation, because when products are designed properly, it will greatly ease the logistics process.
2) Right Customer: One of the most important steps is to determine the segment of customers you deal with and thus direct the right service to them, and this will require you to first determine the target market to provide appropriate service to customers, which must actually meet their needs.
3) Right Condition: Product quality should be maintained till it reaches the end-user or the consumer. In order to be able to maintain your product’s condition, you need effective storage, as each product is stored and placed in the appropriate facilities to maintain its quality and condition.
