The Knights Templar Ethos and Judgement.
""He who wishes to sit in judgement of others shall first be open to being judged. Only when his character flaws are eliminated shall he be deemed fit for office. If he refuses to be judged he may be judged upon his absence and refusal""
“”For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again””.
Many people who walk this land look to others and judge them by the way the look, they walk, the way they dress and more. The Knights Templar ethos tells us this is wrong, “”we sit not in judgement for we know not that of what we judge””.
We as humans look at the way people dress, the way they look and even the way they walk.
The old adage of “”never judge a book by its cover”” seems to be long gone in exchange for the new I can judge because I can and its my right – but is it?
The answer is one word and that is NO it is not right, who are we to sit in our suits and poor scorn on those in jeans and a t'shirt, who are we with pure skin to criticise that man who believe his skin should be art.
They say beauty is only skin deep and this is true as one can be beautiful on the outside and dark and vile on the inside.

On the same score one can look a mess on the outside, be blessed with failed looks and appearance but stand with a heart as pure as silk or driven snow.
It matters not the clothes worn, the bank account size, the size of ones house or car. It matters more on the actions and deeds of those who have them. We can look at a simple fact that the highest value crimes are more often committed by a man in a suit. But we walk a world expecting that man to hold virtue while we cross the road from the greasy biker type. But when we delve the phyci we find the greasy biker is more likely to commit a charitable act than the suit.
We as humans look at people and judge them by many things while failing to judge them on the important ones, their virtue, their character and who they choose to be. Something I learnt many years ago is that I am not a clever man because I have an education, I am a clever man because I have knowledge. The education is only the guidance to start the journey of knowledge and like many that journey never ends.
It makes me no better than any one else, and gives me no right to wilfully judge others without foundation of the judgement passed. It is how I use the knowledge that makes the difference – to us knowledge should be shared – used to help those less fortunate – not used to judge others for failing to get the grades.
“”A country is built by men in boiler suits and is usually destroyed by men in suits”” – which one deserves to sit in judgement and which deserves to be judged. The answer to that lies within us all and our own actions and deeds. Or is that saying even true? Again that depends upon personal thinking and personal judgement.
“”Those who are proven to have committed a crime shall be judged by the nature of the crime”” again is this true as life has taught me that “”Bad men can do good things and good men can do bad things””. If we choose to judge others by the headline rather than the context of the story do we not deserve to be judged ourselves.
The world is an ever changing place but the Knights Templar ethos remains strong – why? Because it makes sense even in todays often misguided world.
