Knight Fencing gives local charity Stonepillow a helping hand

Everyone needs a little help from their friends. And Stonepillow is a friend of ours.

Stonepillow is a local charity that helps homeless and vulnerable people get back on their feet.

They rely a lot on donations and goodwill.

Which is where we come in.

How did we help Stonepillow?

One day, one of our installation guys came in and mentioned that the fencing at the Stonepillow hostel in Chichester wasn’t looking too great ??.

After a quick chat in the office, we knew what to do ??.

We got on the phone, talked to the nice people in charge and offered to replace the fencing and gates.

What did we put up at the Chichester hostel?

Given the green light, we got to work quickly, taking down the old fencing and gates and replacing them with new ones that we knew would last.

We started with the fencing at the hostel – it had definitely seen better days. In its place, we put up new heavy-duty closeboard panels, secured with anthracite grey Duraposts fencing posts and matching gravel boards and capping rails.

We also put in a new pedestrian gate in the same style.

All really sturdy, long-lasting stuff. And smart-looking too.

But this wasn’t all.

What else did we do at the Stonepillow hostel?

Besides the fencing and pedestrian gates, we also replaced the big bin store gates at the hostel.

We put up sturdy, strong double gates, with all the necessary bolts and locks. They won’t need replacing for a long time.

And – there’s one more thing – we donated two large wooden planters ??so residents at the hostel can plant flowers and look after them during their stay.

What did Stonepillow have to say about the new fencing?

Well, we’re very pleased to report that they’re over the moon about them. This is what they said:
