After another busy year for KMsoft, our clients, and the industry, we are excited to recap some of this year's highlights.

KMsoft Secure Spot on G-Cloud 14 Framework

Last month, we were proud to share that KMsoft had been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) G-Cloud 14 Framework. Securing a spot on the latest iteration of the U.K. government’s cloud procurement framework is a major milestone which will enable us to offer our cloud-based solutions directly to public sector organisations across the U.K. via the Digital Marketplace, streamlining the procurement process for these essential services.

For KMsoft, being part of G-Cloud 14 reinforces our dedication to supporting the public sector’s digital transformation journey. This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and adaptable cloud solutions that drive operational efficiency and flexibility.

NHS England 2024/25 Priorities and Operational Planning Guidance Released

In March this year, NHS England released its 2024/2025 Operational Planning Guidance and Priorities, outlining key focus areas for improvement. The guidance highlights the urgent need for recovering core services, improving productivity, and supporting the workforce. Evidence-based objectives were set to deliver these improvements at both a local and national level, across primary, community, and emergency care and mental health services.

Twelve key national objectives have been set for NHS England for it to assess its performance, alongside local priorities agreed by ICSs (integrated care systems).

Find out more about the objectives in our blog post.

KMsoft's Latest Customer Success

This year, we were proud to share one of our most recent customer success stories.

In 2023, fashion retailer Roman Originals faced challenges managing their high volume of daily e-commerce returns, relying on time-consuming manual processes that led to inventory errors, delays, and increased costs. Recognising the need for a scalable solution, Ian Johnson, Head of E-commerce, saw automation as key for their continued growth and success.

Partnering with KMsoft, Roman Originals deployed a custom automated returns system. This solution streamlined returns processing, improved accuracy, and reduced the need for manual intervention. With seamless integration and comprehensive staff training, the implementation was smooth and non-disruptive.

The system drastically cut sorting times, improved inventory accuracy, and boosted staff productivity. With 40 devices in operation, returns are processed faster, enhancing profitability and supporting growth.

GS1 Sunrise 2027

In September, we highlighted the GS1 Sunrise 2027 initiative, which began back in 2020 and marked the beginning of the retail sector’s widespread adoption of 2D barcodes at point-of-sale (POS).

By the end of 2027, retailers worldwide are expected to have POS systems equipped to support scanners that can read both traditional 1D barcodes and the latest 2D barcodes. This will create a more dynamic and interconnected retail environment, enabling businesses to operate with improved accuracy and efficiency.

Recent advancements in digital technology have brought great benefits to healthcare organisations and patients by enabling the streamlining of data management and the improvement of patient care. However, this digitisation has also introduced heightened cyber security risks and threats.

Gartner predicted in 2022 that 45% of organisations will have experienced a supply chain cyber attack by 2025. Read more in our blog post.
