KMF takes the trophy for Business in the Community at the Staffordshire University Business Awards

Last night, KMF took the trophy for the Business in the Community Award at University of Staffordshire Business Awards .

We’re so proud of our team and are delighted to have been recognised for our charitable efforts and community contributions over the past year.

Throughout 2023, we raised over ￡200,000 for the Dougie Mac surpassing our original goal of ￡50,000.

Last September, the KMF team embarked on a 3-day, 60-mile canoe challenge across the waterways of the Scottish Highlands, accompanied by several other like-minded fundraisers.

Beyond our fundraising efforts, KMF is actively involved in initiatives that promote the education and career development of young people in Stoke-on-Trent. Our Young Engineer of the Year (YEOTY) programme fuels the aspirations of budding engineers and kick-starts careers.

Since the initiative was launched it has reached more than 25,000 secondary school students, attracted 75 sponsors and invested more than ￡925,000 into STEM development.

Our apprentices have also participated in various charity events to support local organisations. A handful include Affordable Food Stoke , The Hubb Foundation and Link Line.

Jenny Johnston our people and culture manager commented: “At KMF, we’re very proud of the support we provide to our wider community," she said. "None of this would be possible without the active engagement, enthusiasm, and support of our brilliant team."

The Business in the Community Award is a testament to KMF’s commitment to making a positive impact in the Staffordshire area.
