Kloeckner Moments 2022
Giving back has been a major part of our work culture here at Kloeckner Metals UK. Over the past year, our team has raised money and volunteered at different charities of their choosing. Every time one of our employees steps up to raise awareness or donations, the whole team gets together to support them in whatever manner they can.
KLOECKNER CARES INITIATIVES
Here are some of the ways we showed our support in 2022:
DIY SOS Big Build Project in Leeds
Earlier this year, we got involved in the DIY SOS Big Build Project and Children in Need to build a new Leeds home for the Getaway Girls charity.
Getaway Girls empowers girls and young women from Leeds to support each other to build confidence and resilience, raise aspirations, develop new skills and take positive risks in a safe and cooperative environment.
Kloeckner teamed up with our customer Steelscapes to provide all the materials needed to build the woven steel fence for the perimeter screening in the new garden.
Mission Christmas
Once again, we partnered with Cash for Kids to support their Mission Christmas Initiative to ensure that disadvantaged children each receive a new, wrapped present this Christmas. We were to deliver bags of toys donated by our employees whilst also making a monetary contribution to the charity.????
Ukraine Appeal
Our parent company, Kl?ckner & Co, encouraged employees from all over the company to get together to support the Ukraine Emergency project set up by UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe. Combined, we were able to raise €57,824.
OTHER KLOECKNER CARES INITIATIVES
Throughout the year, we also donated to and sponsored various initiatives to support our communities. Here are clubs and charities we sponsored:
