KLH GBS faculty on a mission to improve teaching quality

Dr. Mohan Palani, an Assistant Professor at KLH GBS, established the Weekend School in 2021 to enhance education and improving teaching standards. According to a research study titled "Youth Employment Issues and Human Capital Development for APO Economies," funded by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in Japan (2017), it was revealed that the primary cause for the deterioration in education quality in India is the employment of untrained teachers in schools. These untrained teachers impart poor-quality teaching, leading to students being promoted to higher classes while lacking the necessary skills, ultimately resulting in unemployment.

?To address this issue to some extent, Dr. Mohan Palani consulted with CEOs of companies, University Vice-Chancellors, IAS Officers, Professors, Students, Employees, and Entrepreneurs, and together they devised several solutions to enhance education quality. Practical knowledge and Life Skills training were identified as key factors in overcoming these challenges. Subsequently, in 2022, Dr. Palani registered a company named World Academic Learning Lab Private Limited in Hyderabad. This institution offers more than nine online programs through the Weekend School. As part of their research projects, they also gather student survey data and publish reports.

The Entrepreneurship cell at KLH GBS plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who are passionate about bringing a change in the society. They go above and beyond to assist in fulfilling the dreams of entrepreneurs by offering them full range of resources and support by extending all possible help, which can contribute significantly to the realization of their dream. The Entrepreneurship cell provides mentorship to individuals who aspire to make a difference. Experienced entrepreneurs and professionals will guide and advise them on various aspects, including business strategy, marketing, networking, fundraising and the cell regularly organizes workshops and seminars for the budding entrepreneurs.
