KLH GBS Faculty Depicts Stories Through Bronze Sculpture, Earns Praise
"Receiving this award from the Hyderabad Art Society is a profound honor. Art has always been my passion. Inspired by Telangana’s history and the spirit of collective effort, this sculpture is my tribute to the selfless sacrifices that shaped our future. I am deeply grateful to my mentors, colleagues, and KLH Global Business School for their unwavering support where art and education thrive together." – Ms. K. Sarala Rao, Assistant Professor, Department of Animation and Gaming at KLH Global Business School.
KLH Global Business School not only upholds academic excellence but also keeps the spirit of art alive. Ms. K. Sarala Rao, Assistant Professor, Department of Animation and Gaming at KLH Global Business School, has been honored with the Best Award for her bronze sculpture, “Telangana Amara Veerulaku Padabhi Vandanamulu.” This esteemed recognition is part of the 84th All India Annual Art Exhibition – 2025, organized by the Hyderabad Art Society. The award was presented by His Highness Raunaq Yar Khan, 9th Nizam of the Asafjahi dynasty, and Mr. M. V. Ramana Reddy Garu, President of the Hyderabad Art Society. It included a cash prize along with a memento and a certificate.
From 2016 to 2018, Ms. Sarala Rao actively participated in art exhibitions. Eventually she got an opportunity to collaborate with esteemed organizations, where she taught modeling and texturing while also working as a 3D generalist. As a proud faculty member at KLH Global Business School, she has been teaching Character Modeling, Digital Sculpting, Anatomy, Digital Compositing and Rigging. She is also passionate about character design and nurturing the next generation of 3D artists through education and mentorship.
The inspiration behind this sculpture came from her belief that, knowingly or unknowingly, numerous forces contribute to every task an individual undertakes in daily life. The grand, dynamic sculptures of the old masters, which depict collective effort and movement, should be admired. When conceptualizing her art piece, she was fascinated by the history of Telangana’s formation, as she has often read about Telangana's freedom fighters and the large-scale student protests that erupted in 2009. The sacrifices made by the people for this cause deeply inspired her to create this sculpture. She has also received a Merit Award from the Padapai Art Association at Chennai Lalit Kala Academy for an installation work based on a similar theme.
By encouraging faculty to pursue their passions along with their academic roles, KLH Global Business School continues to shape well-rounded educators.
