Kitsap 911 Public Safety Microwave System
Good morning all:
We're honored to announce that the Kitsap County, WA 911 Board of Directors (Kitsap911) earlier this week voted unanimously to accept RACOM's proposal for upgrading their critical public safety microwave backhaul system.
Kitsap911 is an independent regional Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) governed by a board of directors consisting of County Commissioners, Mayors, City Council members, Fire Commissioners, and the Kitsap County Sheriff.?Kitsap911 is responsible for 911 calls and general calls for service for seven fire agencies and eleven law enforcement agencies. Total calls for service in 2021 were approximately 170,000.
The new configuration will span 11 sites, increase available bandwidth and system resiliency at a total cost of approximately $1.5M. Our manufacturer partner for this project is Aviat.
Estimated project completion with be Summer 2023.
