The Kites destiny

A beautiful red kite takes flight 

High into the air

The owner gripping tightly and handling it with care

Soaring on a kiss from the breeze

Ducking and darting about

It's trail of garlands flowing down

Colourful ribbons 

Softly drifting in the wind 

Captivating to watch as it forms its unique dance

A lot of children watching almost in a trance 

The freedom and the beauty 

Mesmerising to see

Floating up above the clouds - moving aimlessly 

The sounds of the wind rushing through

Like rows of sheets on a line 

Drying as they move - all in good time

The sweet smell of fresh linen

Each time they sway

Your mind free to wander

Dreaming away

Riding on the winds of change

Each movement 

Pulling and tugging

Attempting to break free

Whilst the owner grips the reins 

Taking charge of the kites destiny xx
