LinkedIn is probably one of the most powerful yet lesser known ways of marketing. Everyone has a LinkedIn account these days, but the art of converting these stone cold profiles to hot pancakes of marketing is rare. Imagine the amount of prospective customers, you can convert if you use your LinkedIn account to your advantage. Here we bring to you the top 5 ways in which you can make the best use of your LinkedIn account to make it a digital marketer.
Always keep in mind this is one of the most important step for your business -
KEEP IT SIMPLE SILLY
1. Curate your Content -
People may go all in, discussing all about their business and flooding their profiles, but the best thing to do here is to use the principle of KISS (Keep it Simple Silly!). Your content should talk about anything but your business, but somehow find some connection and plunge in your business into the article. It is subtle and gets the business noticed! Ta-da!
2. Nail the Intro –
We all know how someone, after opening your page goes on to read the summary. Why not make best use of this fact! Remember that your service should directly appeal to the customers and for that you need a summary that is curated around their needs. Try to make it visible that your service is their best option and portray it in the most subtle of ways. (Never forget to add a ‘Call to action’ button at the end.)
3. Make them feel good –
Remember that people who are in your connection are great target customers. And keeping them happy and noticing them is a golden tip. Keep an eye on the notification bar and whenever celebrates a birthday/New Job/ Job Anniversary, remember to send them a personalized congratulatory message (with their name). People love being acknowledged and this will be a great way to get the gears rolling.
4. Look before you share –
Remember that you are known by what you share. The first idea people make after watching your shared articles or posts is what they think of you, and we are sure you would love to be known by your ‘business’! So share things that are somehow connected to your business and can even at times share articles from your business page which convert these leads into prospect customers!
5. Realize the power of LinkedIn conversations –
People are oblivious to the powers of the 2016 add-on ‘Conversation Starter’. Customize your conversation starters in accordance to your business and how you want your customers to view it. (Never use the standard messages). After selecting the chat, customize it and send it to people, hinting them to view your business as a potential option.
Once you check all the points above, you have successfully converted your LinkedIn account to your personal marketer! Remember to make best use of the content you have and craft it according to the needs!
