Kintavar Exploration Inc. (KTR-V): Kintavar set to drill on Wabash following securing of drill permits
Kintavar reported on October 18, 2021 that it has secured all the necessary permits and approvals in order to commence a maiden drilling program on the Wabash Copper project in central Québec. Drilling at Wabash is set to commence in November 2021 as a drill rig has been secured and mobilization to the site shall begin in coming weeks. The initial drilling program is planned for 2,000 to 3,000 meters and is expected to be finished by end of December 2021. Recall on September 15, 2021 Kintavar had announced additional results from the soil geochemical surveys and the commencement of radiometric surveys on both the Wabash and Mitchi projects (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/kintavar-exploration-inc-ktr-v-new-zone-wabash-extends-eric-lemieux/). This radiometric geophysical survey has been completed and data is now being processed.
To test the heart of the dragon: The objectives for the maiden drilling program are to investigate the mineralization extensions at depth and as well to confirm mineralization distribution throughout the horizons, widths and stratigraphy of the Wabash sedimentary basin. The drilling program shall initially focus on the Cloutier, Lapointe, Indiana and the Cooper areas and the most recent discovery, trench TR-GB1, which had returned high polymetallic grades on a moderate to strong IP geophysical anomaly. This IP anomaly extends for over 1.7 km and is among the high priority targets. Kintavar has developed a very solid interpretation on the Wabash project with its unique Grenville geology of high-grade metamorphic conditions over a sediment hosted polymetallic deposit. Drilling should help validate geological modelling and provide new information on this novel deposit setting.
?
Kintavar set to further expand the potential of the well located Wabash project: We understand following regional hunting season that the Kintavar geological exploration team is back in the field and shall continue on mechanical trenching, field follow up work and initiate drill pad and access preparations. Assays are still pending for many samples from various trenches and soil geochemistry programs realized in August and September and should tie-in with the maiden drill program on this pluri-kilometric drill target.

Update - November 8, 2021
Kintavar commences drill program on Wabash
Kintavar reported on November 8, 2021 that it has begun its maiden drilling program on the Wabash Copper project in central Québec. Drilling at Wabash is planned up to 3,000 m and is expected to be completed by end of December 2021. The main objective of the drill program is to investigate the main mineralized zones along the 8 km long favourable corridor that hosts stratabound copper mineralization with strong IP anomalies. These zones are in the Cloutier-Lapointe (high grade copper horizons with gold and silver with up to 6.59% Cu, 58.7 g/t Ag & 0.66 g/t Au) and Indiana (high grade copper and silver horizons with up to 1.90% Cu, 155.0 g/t Ag & 0.55% Pb) areas; as well as the Cooper area to the NW. The drilling program shall provide information on the distribution of the polymetallic mineralization at depth, the lateral extent of the mineralized horizons and finally how some of these areas may connect. Recall on September 15, 2021 Kintavar had announced additional results from the soil geochemical surveys and the commencement of radiometric surveys on both the Wabash and Mitchi projects (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/kintavar-exploration-inc-ktr-v-new-zone-wabash-extends-eric-lemieux/) and we refer to our site visit report of June 11, 2021 (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/kintavar-exploration-inc-ktr-v-wabash-continuing-advance-eric-lemieux/).

Very well located: Kintavar has developed a continuing robust interpretation on the Wabash sedimentary basin and drilling should provide structural, lithological and stratigraphical insight and help validate geological modelling. This pluri-kilometric drill target is very well-located project is accessible by roads and has the active commercial CN railroad crossing the property which services, among others, the active Suzorite mica mine operated by Imerys Mica Suzorite Inc. (https://www.imerys.com/minerals/mica). Drilling results should be important in both planning the summer 2022 exploration program and the phases of drilling and perhaps rekindling Quebec’s Grenville Province as a prime target.

Update - November 11, 2021
Kintavar Exploration Inc.?(KTR-V):
Kintavar Closes $3.29M Private Placement for Wabash Copper Project
Kintavar announced on November 11, 2021 that it has closed a non-brokered private placement for total cumulative gross proceeds of $3,290,033. Kintavar has issued 6,226,297 units of the company at a price of $0.17 per unit (comprised of 1 share and a half warrant @ $0.23 per share for 2 years) and 9,702,447 common shares on a flow through basis, at a price of $0.23 per share.
Kiril Mugerman stated: “After an exciting summer season full of discoveries at the Wabash project, Kintavar has now secured an important financing to take the project to the next step. In addition to strong support from institutional and existing shareholders, the project has now attracted interest from numerous retail brokers. Everyone is looking for the next major copper discovery and we believe Kintavar has a very special project that could deliver that. The entire Mitchi-Wabash district is only in its early days. This financing gives us a strong sign of support and confidence as we begin the initial drilling program on Wabash and prepare for a very active 2022. The ongoing COP26 summit demonstrates the importance of electrification and reduction of greenhouse gases which requires a substantial amount of copper that is not available today. The world needs new copper discoveries and Kintavar being well financed with cash flow from its local operations, world class infrastructure, local support and geopolitical stability in Quebec is well positioned to be part of the solution”.
Recall Kintavar is engaged in the acquisition, assessment, exploration and development of gold and base metal mineral properties. Its flagship project is the Mitchi – Wabash copper-silver district (~39 000 ha, 100% owned) located ~100 km north of the town of Mont-Laurier and 15 km to the ENE of the town of Parent in Québec. Both properties cover an area accessible by a network of logging and gravel roads with access to hydro-electric power already on site, major regional roads including railroad and a spur. The Mitchi – Wabash properties are located in the NW portion of the central metasedimentary belt of the Grenville geological province. The projects primarily focus on sediment-hosted stratiform copper type mineralization (SSC) but likely include Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) and skarn type targets. Osisko holds a 2% NSR on 27 claims of the southern portion of the Mitchi property, outside of the sedimentary basin.
Kintavar also has exposure in the gold greenstones of Québec by advancing the Anik Gold Project in a partnership with IAMGOLD (see: https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/kintavar-exploration-inc-ktr-v-anik-smartly-optioned-eric-lemieux/) and the early-stage, Rivière-à-l’Aigle and ?New Mosher projects, that were optioned by Gitennes Exploration (GIT-V) in June 2020 (https://gitennes.com/projects/quebec-properties/) to the SW of the Chibougamau area.
?
We highlight that Kintavar supports local development in the Mitchi-Wabash region by working with local First Nations to provide training and employment and it owns and operates the Fer à Cheval outfitter (see :www.feracheval.ca and https://kintavar.com/fer-a-cheval/) where it employs local workforce.
