The King of My Heart

The King of My Heart

The song "King of My Heart" reminds us that our God is the King of Kings and the Lord of lords. He reigns above all else, and He alone deserves our worship and adoration. In Psalm 118:14-16, we see that the Lord is our strength, defense, and salvation. He is the one who brings shouts of joy and victory to the righteous. His right hand has done mighty things, and His right hand is lifted high.

When we choose to make God the King of our hearts, we are acknowledging that He is the one who has done mighty things in our lives. We are acknowledging that He is the one who has brought us joy and victory. We are acknowledging that He is the one who has given us strength and salvation. We can trust Him to guide us through the storms of life and to lead us to victory.

And let the King of my heart
Be the wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves
Oh oh, He is my song

When we say that the King of our heart is the wind inside our sails and the anchor in the waves, we are acknowledging His sovereignty in our lives. Just as a ship is at the mercy of the wind and waves, so are we at the mercy of life's circumstances. But when we make Jesus the King of our heart, we can trust that He will guide us through the storms and calm the rough waters. He is our anchor, providing us with stability and security in times of uncertainty.

Additionally, we declare that He is our song. This means that our hearts are filled with worship and adoration for Him. As we face the challenges of life, we can sing praises to Him, knowing that He is with us every step of the way. This echoes the words of Psalm 118:14, "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation."

In making Jesus the King of our heart, we give Him control over every area of our lives. We acknowledge that He is the only one worthy of our worship, and that He alone can provide the guidance and direction we need. Let us make Him the wind in our sails and the anchor in our waves, and may our hearts be filled with the song of His love and grace.

As we sing the words of this song, let us be reminded that God is the King of our hearts. Let us give Him the honor and the glory that He deserves. Let us trust in His mighty right hand to guide us and protect us. And let us always remember that He has done great things for us, and He will continue to do so as we put our trust in Him.

Scripture: Psalm 118:14-16 (NIV) "The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: 'The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!'"

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for being the King of my heart. Thank you for your mighty right hand that has done great things in my life. Help me to trust in you more each day and to give you the honor and the glory that you deserve. Guide me and protect me, and lead me to victory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
