King Bob - The Great
King Bob’s luscious and charming nature can switch on the ‘fondness gene’ in anyone. There's something magical lurking in his smile that has the potency to conquer people’s hearts. I happen to have a habit of collecting such figurines and miniatures since my childhood days. For me, they represent an intangible asset and remind me of a place that's still fresh and vibrant, unadulterated by the seriousness of life.
Here's King Bob resting comfortably on my chair after a long day’s relentless pursuit of excellence. After all, ruling a country is no joke, right?
While exchanging banter a couple of days back, my friend taunted me with a witty remark by saying I'm too childish at times. Well, I hate to admit it but he's not wrong. I often try to remain in an immersive childlike state that helps me shield myself from the often overwhelming adultness floating around. And I, for one, have learned a lot about life from the?#minions?franchise and especially from King Bob. Here are a few of my musings.
1. Anyone who has seen the movie ‘Minions’ would agree that King Bob’s greatest power lies in his humility. For in childlike innocence lies the key to everlasting youthfulness of the mind and the capacity for learning.
2. Having fixed the goal of finding a villain to serve, Bob and his compadres start out with one-pointed attention. And finally what happened? They found what they were searching for. Isn't this how we should lead our lives as well?

3. Our personal goals should always align with a greater vision and should reinforce the very idea upon which that goal was built. The primary goal for the 3 minions who set out on their journey was to find a suitable home for their tribe where they can thrive and lead a happier life. Did they all have personal goals? Yes. And how did they achieve those goals? By focussing on the larger perspective and working towards that. When the collective grows, personal growth is almost always assured.
Let the force of the Minions be with you always.
PS:?Illumination?- A job well done, I should say. You're bringing joy to millions.
And, a big thank you to my Mom’s cousin, Premlata, for getting me this soft toy all the way from the US. ????
