Kinexcs! Have you heard of them?

Kinexcs! Have you heard of them?

I've found a subset of startups, particularly in life sciences who are under-represented in the wider view. They often are working on disruptive innovations that affect the substrate level of their sub-industry. So this (infrequent, ad-hoc) series is around throwing a bit of a spotlight on these startups. This time, I am looking at Kinexcs!

Quick facts:

?? Website: www.kinexcs.com

?? Founded: August 2017 (operational starting date)

???? Founders: Abhishek Agrawal, Ziming Guo

?? Funding: $4.1 million till date

?? Mission: To enable and empower people for mobility and a better quality of life using AI-driven health platform and wearables

?? Therapeutic area/ solution: Musculoskeletal care

?? Looking for: Series A investors, referral to Public and Private Hospital networks

Firstly, we have set the scene.?Recovering from orthopaedic surgery can be challenging and lengthy. The rehabilitation, continuing monitoring of joint performance can take significant resources and when it is based in a facility, greatly reduces accessibility for patients. Patients often face difficulties such as frequent visits to healthcare facilities, monitoring joint motion, and identifying wound complications.

How about Kinexcs? Kinexcs is an AI-driven digital health platform and wearables company with a mission to enable and empower people for mobility and a better quality of life.

How’s it going? Kinexcs is already deployed in a number of hospitals in the region including Malaysia and Singapore.

So how big is this innovation? Well post-surgical care has always been a space ripe for innovation because so much of what we do isn't scalable given the current paradigm. Kinexcs enables a new hybrid model of post-operative care, so I would go for large*- it's got a huge potential to enable healthcare for a large number of patients.

Thanks for sharing! It’ll be interesting to see how wearable technology will shape the future of rehabilitation/post-op monitoring in the years to come. Maybe we’ll see more solutions through companies like these to that may help reduce wait times for appointments ??
