KINDNESS AND UNDERSTANDING.
One of the things my parents did up until they left us a few years ago; was go help the poor; don't forget the poor. No matter what their story- help the poor. I watched my parents go from bankruptcy- seeing our television taken from our living room; driving out of the driveway in our car with only the clothes on our backs and a few things. I was in second grade, I still remember, and I thought I will never be poor and if I am- I will get back on my feet- go to Montana with only a suitcase after they died. I would have nothing- 100.00 in my pocket. An inheritance to come later- but I knew even though I knew no-one here - but Jim and his family I would be fine. I knew that I could snap back- I knew I was raised with that, it was in my blood. And that is why I will never judge the poor- they will be in my heart forevermore- never will shut my door. I will abet, aid, assist, back, befriend, cooperate, encourage until I die. A line from "SnappingBack" my time with Gavin Newsom. Who knows maybe I can remind him of where he came from and who he used to be. How are we to say goodbye to a year that has challenged our very ways of understanding the world, our role in it, and the future we want to build?" We just do- and help the poor along the way. #YesWeCanAgain
