To start with let me ask you a simple question. When was the last time you remember helping someone without asking? There is a famous quote- “ Straight trees are cut first, Honest people are screwed first” We ourselves have made our life self centered & the society also have played the same role as well. People always tend to take advantage of someone who is honest, loyal & good, once they are done with they will kick you out…
P eople now a days often tend to hide these values to face the monotonous life, with this they also fail to make their kids aware of these. Now the question comes how to bring it back-pretty complex though as it depends from person to person. A man with all the aforesaid values will always try to help others. Some might also change not to help others blaming the fact that what they have got.
I would like to emphasise by saying that always try to help others God is watching everything, do not fear what others say…When I was in high school, I was severely depressed and was in the midst of a friendship-breakup. My best friend at the time was a girl, we’ll call her S. I confided in her about the problems that I was facing and that I could barely even function anymore. She supported me for a few days, said it’d be okay, and then one fine day, she came and said, “Hey, I’m done. I stopped caring about you anymore and I am sorry to say I couldn’t care about you or your problems anymore.”
I was shell shocked. I tried to speak to her because she was someone I really needed as a crutch at that time, to at least be with me, if nothing else. She stopped sitting next to me, stopped talking to me, although her behaviour with our other friends remained the same. Above everything that was already going on, losing another friend made me hit rock bottom. I skipped school for days, showing up every once in a while just for the sake of attendance. I would stay in bed all day and grieve our friendship, clearly not being able to deal with everything that was going downhill in my life.

It’s been 3 years since then, and I’ve completely gotten over it. It hurt for a lot of months, but thankfully, I could rise back as a less depressed, more functional young girl. However, a few days ago, after years of not speaking to each other, suddenly one fine day S texted me on Instagram. In which she apologised for not being a good friend back when I needed her, and I told her that I was over it now, but thanked her either way. Her apology meant a lot to me. After that, we went back to being friends again like nothing had changed between us. And maybe, the years that passed with us not being in contact were also immaterial now, as if the friendship was never lost.
And this is exactly what I value most in a relationship. Making mistakes, hurting each other - these things are bound to happen sometimes. But she sincerely apologised to me, even after all these years, and I’m grateful for that. A straightforward, genuine apology after making mistakes is what I value most in friendships. If material success is the goal of life, evil can not be avoided. In present society including religion, material success is the only goal of life. For creating balanced people, material goals has to be subordinate to spiritual goals of life. Our education system and attitude of society has to change for creating better human beings.
Remember these qualities are not disappearing from humans today, but they have all the these qualities only for a chosen few. due to the globalisation, success driven world..people are pushed to see more on them than others. However, if you can recollect from few years back, the shocking incident of “Thailand - 14 teenagers of a football team got trapped in a 5km deep cave.” how they were rescued by world class rescue team with out anyone’s request, they have travelled from London, Japan, Australia to rescue them from cave. This is the highest humanity shown by the world of humans. Let us keep trust in the people without expecting anything just keep show the concern for others. Cheers!
