Kindness and The Education System

I’m a communication coach and I have taught leadership at high schools as well as having spoken at colleges and Universities. What I have learned is that teens and young adults, when spoken to and given the right mentor and outlet, will share what’s on their mind healthily. In fact, they love sharing and they desire more of it, but with the right mentor and in the right atmosphere. I provided that in my BeyondEgo and Kind Communicator programs. The actual experience of sharing doesn’t come easily in many households or even peer groups due to insecurities, peer pressure, society or family belief systems. When I work with students as a mentor, they feel a sigh of relief when they enter my classroom or into the auditorium for my talks.
I'm interested in partnering with a university or many universities and school programs, even a publisher to put a kind communicator curriculum out there. I already have the books and the platform, I just need to tweak and provide it to an audience. www.thekindcommunicator.com.
A healthy dose of warm and fuzzy is always good for the spirit and soul of a young adult, especially now with an unforeseen future of in-person schooling. When we teach the next generation about being kind to others as well as being kind to themselves, there’s a rush of endorphins similar to that of their social likes and comments that they are used to needing and wanting to feel good. Through my words and work, teens and young adults feel a sense of belonging, increased energy, increased self-worth, optimism and a politeness is garnered that they may or may not be receiving or getting the education to do at home or in their schools. This will make the world a better place for the future with kinder, more polite workers entering the workforce with less drama and toxic patterns from the get go. Plus, school can be more inspiring and empowering when you're kinder on the outside and on the inside. It's very calming.
Belonging can mean everything to a young adult. When they are lacking that sense of community or togetherness or feeling wanted/acknowledged, they demonstrate fear and insecurity, but when they get the proper prosocial behavior training, their ability to make meaningful connections increases and their average mental health also increases. Happiness ensues.
Better concentration is another benefit of this kind teaching and instruction program and I provide that with books and private and group coaching and mentorship. Focus can mean everything for a young adult to getting their work done the way they want to, to feeling confident about what it is that they want out of life, not what their parents want for them or their peers desire for them, but for their desires. Focus helps young adults learn to be kind to themselves while keeping depression at bay, which also brings about less bullying from those who are aggressive and more standing up for themselves, for those who feel or are being bullied.
Kind communication can mean everything for children and teens and I have been focussing my work in this area for the past 4 years. I’d love to build a curriculum to schools at the high school and college level and or write books for publishers to help this message get out (in the right way) to our young children of tomorrow.
What I mean by the right way is this… some of the students I’ve mentored in the past have confided in me and said that they haven’t learned a lot in school at all. I know some seriously awesome teachers and I applaud them for their work. I mean, some of these leaders really go above and beyond... and then there are a select few where there may be a distance gap between the link between- some students said they are not learning but the teachers are teaching. I am not an educator, but I do teach communication and how to go beyond the ego and I know that I can be that missing link there. I know it. I'd love be in charge of this program and work together with schools who feel the same- that kindness can bring out the best in their students and I know that teachers would love it too- a healthier, happier climate for all. I admire teachers so much. They are a gift to our next generation and I would love to be in that ring as well for kind communication programming.
If you know of anyone in a school district or a college or university please have them reach out to me, and or view my work at www.thekindcommunicator.com.
Thank you.
