Tesla's Latest Move In Disrupting the Auto Industry
One of the biggest headlines in the automotive world this month was Tesla's price drop for its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. This move has added pressure on other big-name brands to compete and has once again put Tesla in the spotlight, attracting even more attention from consumers who may not have been previously interested in electric vehicles. - No such thing as bad press it seems on Tesla's part??
The Model 3, Tesla's best-selling car, now starts at a price point that is comparable to traditional fuel powered vehicles, making it a more accessible option for a wider range of customers. Something Tesla has always said would become possible - I still believe other manufactures are way off the pace on this.
This latest move from Tesla is a clear indication of the company's commitment to its mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. It also highlights the rapid pace of change in the automotive industry, where traditional automakers are being forced to adapt to the increasing popularity of electric vehicles but yet in some ways cannot keep up with it either.
What's particularly interesting is the impact this price drop may have on the used car market. Could it be that people who were planning to purchase a used vehicle may now opt for a new Model 3 or Model Y instead? On the other hand, does this force other brands to lower used car prices to be competitive?
It will be interesting to see how other major players in the auto industry respond to this latest development, and whether they will be able to keep up with Tesla's pace of innovation and disruption.
The Importance of Regular MOTs: Why a 4-Year Extension is a Risk to Road Safety
Another recent development in the automotive world that has caught my attention is the UK government's decision to extend the MOT period for vehicles from 3 to 4 years old. As someone who is passionate about road safety, I must say that I disagree with this decision. I believe that extending the MOT period will result in a reduction of road safety and may put lives at risk unnecessarily. The small gain in terms of convenience and cost savings is simply not worth the risk to public safety.
It's important to remember that the MOT test is a vital part of ensuring that vehicles are roadworthy and safe to drive. By delaying the test, we are potentially putting drivers, passengers, and other road users at risk. Regular MOTs help to catch and fix any safety-related issues before they become a major problem, and they help to ensure that vehicles are maintained to a high standard.
Maximise Your Productivity: Avoid the Trap of Inactivity
2023 has been underway for a month and it's easy to fall into the trap of being inactive. This often happens when we think we're being productive, but in reality, we're not making any progress towards our goals. The key is to avoid getting caught up in the "busy phase" and focus on taking tangible actions towards what we want to achieve.
We often avoid taking action due to fear or discomfort. To avoid this, regularly evaluate what you're doing and ask yourself if it's contributing to your desired outcome. If the answer is no, it's time to focus on something that will help you move forward.
By implementing this mindset, you can make the most of the next 11 months of 2023 and achieve greater productivity. Don't waste time on activities that don't contribute to your goals.

This month, I would like to introduce you to Gary Vaynerchuk, a well-known entrepreneur, speaker, and investor. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of listening to him on his podcast, and I've always been struck by his passion, his knowledge, and his commitment to helping others succeed. Whether you're a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, Gary's insights and wisdom are sure to inspire you.
One of the things that I admire most about Gary is his focus on people and his commitment to creating great cultures within his businesses. He firmly believes that happy employees lead to happy customers, and he's always looking for ways to empower his staff and create a positive work environment. He's a true advocate for treating people with kindness and respect, and he's always looking for ways to give back to the community.
Gary is also a strong believer in the power of kindness in business. In his own words, "On a daily basis, I rely on kindness to get me through anxious and challenging moments in business. In times when it would be “easier” to lash out in anger or stress, being kind and being able to be the bigger person shows an internal strength that will differentiate you from others. Unfortunately, too many still believe in sayings like “nice guys finish last,” or they think kindness is synonymous with being a pushover. It’s actually quite the opposite – kindness isn’t a weakness; it’s your ultimate secret weapon.
When you’re in a confrontation with an employee, vendor, or client, kindness will let the other party open up to you in a way that would otherwise never happen. When you have to deliver bad news or have tough conversations, practicing kindness helps create a safer environment to do so. The truth is that lots of people build businesses … but if you want to build a business with true staying power, you need to understand the value and practicality of kindness."
In a world where too many people are focused on short-term gains and quick profits, Gary stands out as a beacon of light, showing us that there's a better way to do business. By putting people first, he's built a legacy of success that will inspire generations to come. If you're looking for insights and inspiration on how to build a successful business that makes a positive impact on the world, look no further than Gary Vaynerchuk."

It's the first month and I am already going off subject to share something a little different with you. I came across an article listing the 50 best driving games of all time. Personally, I have fond memories of playing games like Need for Speed, Colin McRae Rally and Gran Turismo, which were all released in 1998 and kept me glued to the screen for countless hours. Take a look and the list below, I would love to hear what games resonate with you all...
