When the going gets tough, you tend to make things harder for yourself especially matters of dreams and aspirations. You are your biggest critic. You find it hard to be kind to yourself.
As you look in the mirror, the person you see has the loudest voice, the one that has a lot to say. And that is you. No one knows you better than you do. You keep your little secrets hidden underneath and you alone knows where to find all the skeletons in the closet.
You blame yourself when you fall short to whatever you're doing. Yet you take full responsibility. It's difficult to be tender to yourself but still trying. Day by day. Failure after failure. It's tough. It takes practice. In time, you're getting better.
It frustrates you when the going gets tough. However, you will accept the person you are becoming. You'll realize how messy and ugly your journey might be. You won't have it all. And you are okay with it.
Patience will be your greatest virtue on your path to progress. You'll be happy with your own skin. You will be your own hero as you stumble and fall. You'll pick and fix all the broken pieces that needs mending and allow yourself of healing.
Compassion and sympathy you will give yourself when the going gets toughest. Other opinions will only matter when entertained, that's why you choose your battle wisely. You're doing fine with it. Same as you're okay with who you are and whom you will be.
You are most kind to yourself when its harder.
